Ep. 40: It's Not Wrong To Slow Down In Tough Seasons
Manage episode 350826744 series 3140656
If you work through tough seasons by ignoring some of your emotions (those scary and uncomfortable ones are important to acknowledge too) and putting more on your plate as a way to cope, that is probably an automatic response as a result of trauma you have faced in your life. If not, maybe the adults in your life as your grew up handled hard times in these ways and you're simply reacting the only way you saw modelled to you.
Either way, although no one (including yourself) meant harm, ignoring certain emotions or adding things to your plate to keep your mind busy actually has been and is harmful to you.
In episode 40 and my final episode of 2022, I share what it looks and feels like to not listen to your body (especially during tough seasons) by sharing what life was like for me last year. I also share what I have learned from that experience/time of life, and ways I slow down the second my body/mind/soul give me the warning sign I need to.|
