Parenting can be laden with the guilt of not being able to give our kids a picture perfect life. As a disabled parent with limited energy, financial resources, and/or mobility this guilt can be compounded. Studies have shown, however, that children raised by parents with disabilities can actually gain valuable life skills beyond those of their peers.
