Ed Akay has had an interesting life, after recovering from paralysis aged 3 he developed a “can do” attitude and strong work ethic very quickly enabling him to deploy his skills in many fields.
Ed eventually graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Politics and Social Policy and then studied law as a post grad at BPP Law School Manchester. Ed utilized his legal training in the corporate and property development world but perhaps more importantly used it to help others, representing people who could not afford Solicitors pro-bono at employment and benefits tribunals.
As a model Ed has been featured on over 60 front covers worldwide notably as a James Bond 007 likeness and has worked with numerous brands. Ed also found substantial success on the public speaking circuit winning numerous competitions.
In 2024 Ed burst on to the natural bodybuilding competition circuitcompeting uniquely in both para and & capable bodied competitions and wonGold in the para division of the Natural Universe (the natural version of Mr Universe), the inaugural UK International Para Bodybuilding Championship and also a World Silver medal.
