In this new episode of the MyndStories Minis, Smitha Murthy talks to Shilpa Kulkarni, the founder of Shiv's Third Eye, a non-profit in the US dedicated to the cause of youth mental health.
Shilpa is an active mental health and LGBTIQ+ advocate. She tragically lost her son, Shiv, when he died by suicide at 14. This conversation is specially curated for World Suicide Prevention Day which falls on 10th September.
We did not want to go into great detail on how or why Shiv died. What we want to celebrate is that for 14 years, Shiv gave a lot of joy. We would like to celebrate life, even in loss.
Especially with loss.
