On this week’s episode of Open, Emma is joined by breast cancer surviver, Philip Alderson.
Breast cancer in men is rare with around 370 men diagnosed each year in the UK, compared to around 55,500 cases in women. As a result, there are very few male voices sharing their experience of navigating the disease. Phil was diagnosed in 2016 and now raises awareness from a male perspective by getting involved with various campaigns, speaking, writing and being an active and engaged member of the online community.
