Last time we focused on James 1:1-4 and Romans 5:1-8, but this time let’s take a look at how Job reacted in times of distress. “If we accept the good that God gives us, shouldn’t we also accept the bad.” – Job 2: 10
But what changed? Job just boldly said that he would be willing to accept the bad as well as the good, but now he is cursing the day of his birth. Such a brash change of pace, could it be that Job was showing false confidence in God when he called his wife a, “Godless Fool,” and that in that moment he considered his wife to be correct, because in the very next few verses his friends found him to be unrecognizable.
Did Job’s mind break? Hey… what is your breaking point?
