Manage episode 364146233 series 3404254
Episode 72 focused on the mission of Strongest Hearts, and you heard from its co-founder, Tania Barbera. To support their foundation in funding research into gene editing for muscular dystrophy, we recently held an event and surpassed our goal and raised $117,000. At the time I recorded this episode we did not have all our donations in. This has been our largest fundraiser to date!
This event was held at Tommy Joe’s, and co-founder Jamie Truman is joined by Truman Charities board member, Don McGlynn, to discuss why it’s one of our go-to venues. Don also breaks down how to choose a venue for your charity event, save money on food, the pros and cons of sticking to one venue, and MORE.
