244. How A.W.E. Can Heal Your Heart

This episode is a bit longer than our normal show, but it includes two meditative "A.W. E." Canvas Method exercises led by Jake Eagle, co-author of The Power of AWE: Overcome Burnout & Anxiety, Ease Chronic Pain, Find Clarity & Purpose In Less Than One Minute a Day." Jake writes, "A.W.E. counters the busy, distressing ways we carry out our lives even when pandemics and riots are not taking place. A.W.E. is a reprieve, a respite from the constant striving we undertake, sometimes just to prove ourselves worthy. Over time, A.W.E. unshackles us from this endless cycle of achievement and self-improvement. We may still achieve and improve but without the endless striving."
One of the greatest expressions of love is to "above all else, take care of your heart" (Proverbs 4:23), so as we learn this new language of love this season, let us learn how to love ourselves in all the right ways.
