John Chavez is the founder of DMT Quest a non-profit organization focused on supporting endogenous DMT research as well as research into the human potential. He's also the author of two books and creator of the documentary, DMT Quest, a film highlighting the work of Dr. Jon Dean who found that DMT is produced at similar levels to serotonin and dopamine throughout the mammalian brain.
In this episode, John and I talk about his first mystical experience and the potency of non drug-induced awakenings. He shares what’s going on with the current research, where he hopes to take it, and why he’s excited to support more studies on endogenous DMT.
