Non-Hierarchizing Trauma
Manage episode 361626702 series 3379165
You may have heard trauma defined as Big T or Little T Trauma. While having this language to differentiate and describe your experience can be helpful, in some cases it can also be harmful (see episode on self-gaslighting) and re-traumatizing. Because women (and oftentimes men) have been deeply conditioned to discount their lived experience, oftentimes we’re carrying, experiencing, or re-experiencing traumas without even knowing it. This episode will help you give language to your experience while also helping you to question how you describe your trauma. While this episode will discuss big and little T trauma, any trauma can impact you and it's okay for you to take up space with your healing.
