He is perhaps best known for the iconic photograph taken during the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, where he cradled the lifeless body of one-year-old Baylee Almon, a haunting reminder of the tragedy that day. Having witnessed the brutal realities of public service, Chris experienced the toll it took on him and his family, leading him to suffer in silence for many years. Now, he is on a mission to change the narrative around mental health for first responders, advocating for the importance of reaching out for help and sharing his own journey of faith, family, and healing. His story is one of resilience, hope, and the courage to be a hero not only to others but also to oneself.
