Rotarian Jackie Njeru from Kenya is an advocate for deaf individuals, Her 10-year-old son lost his hearing at the age of 2. After trying many solutions, she decided, with the support of friends, to get him Cochlear implants. Her efforts with her son motivated her to stand up for the rights of other deaf individuals in the area. Today she speaks out and encourages others so to do the same.
