In this episode, the guys dive into a hot topic discussion on whether the Flood in the Bible was truly a global flood or not. After intros and coffee talk (0:00-2:58), the begin their conversation on the Flood with a discussion of ancient and modern worldviews (2:59-6:11). They then talk about the use of hyperbole in the Bible, and how hyperbole is used in the Flood narrative (6:12-13:20). Next, they bring science into the discussion and talk about how science fits into the conversation of the Biblical Flood (13:21-20:13). Following that, they move into a talk about the possibilities besides a global flood that the Flood could have possibly been, and some scientific consensus around different options. They also talk about the creation themes of Genesis 1 that carry over into the Flood narrative, and briefly touch on what the text is talking about when it says that God was "grieved" by the state of humanity in the story (20:14-33:24). They conclude their conversation talking about whether or not everybody was truly killed in the Flood, and end in a short discussion on the nature of the rainbow at the end of the story (33:25-39:42).
