Statement of Need Primary care providers may not be aware of the latest diagnosis guidelines in the assessment of patients with either primary or secondary endocrine disorders; additionally many symptoms common to endocrine disorders are experienced by patients without endocrine disorders. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:

1. Summarize the prevalence of endocrine conditions, including the most common conditions.
2. Discuss the latest screening and diagnostic guidelines for frequently treated endocrine conditions seen in the primary care setting.
3. Distinguish between primary and secondary endocrine disorders.
4. Describe updated treatment options for common endocrine conditions seen in the primary care setting.
