Truth and Reconciliation - with MCpl P George
Manage episode 378262010 series 2927249
On this first episode of Season 7, we are honoured to discuss the challenges and steps that we all need to take to move towards a place of Truth and Reconciliation as we approach the second National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. MCpl Phoenix George of LdSH(RC) speaks about what the day means, both generally and to her personally, her role as the Alberta Military Co-Chair, Defence Indigenous Advisory Group. It's an informative, thoughtful and thought provoking conversation about something that many of us never learned in school, but that we must all come to terms with if we are to be able to really become both an organization and a country that is truly committed to treating all people with respect and dignity, free of prejudice and discrimination. It's a long path, but if we follow MCpl George's advice, we can all get there. Together.
