Dr. Don Stader is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine and the editor in chief for all of the Colorado's CURE Guidelines and Dr. Ethan Moses, is board certified in Occupational Medicine, assistant professor at University of Colorado School of Medicine and their School of Public Health.
Colorado's CURE focuses on four pillars:
- Limiting the use of opioids in clinical practice
- Using multimodal alternatives to opioids (ALTO) to better treat pain without the risks that come with opioids
- Harm Reduction
- Improving care for those who have developed an opioid use disorder
Colorado’s CURE is supported by the Colorado Hospital Association, the Colorado Medical Society, the Colorado Consortium Colorado for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention and the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health
