Rededicate: Complete and wholehearted fidelity, the act of binding yourself spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally to a course of action.
The Book of Nehemiah teaches us to see things from God’s perspective.
We should never judge God by our circumstances.
In Nehemiah 12 the people are happy because they are focused on God.
There are three requirements for rededication:
1. Purification Nehemiah 12:30
Smith Wrigglesworth: A true Christian desires to be free from sin NOT to be able to sin freely.
Galatians 5:1 Ephesians 2:4-7 Philippians 2:5-8 James 4:6-7
God does not do His work with dirty vessels!
Holiness precedes happiness.
How do we purify ourselves?
By confessing our sins and believing the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:9 Hebrews 9:14, 10:10
2. Consecration Nehemiah 9:2-3
Consecration reminds us that God is has not forgotten His covenant!
Consecration brings JOY! Nehemiah 8:10
Consecration means we re-examine and recommit our lives to God.
Romans 12:1-2 1 Peter 2:9-10
3. Celebration Nehemiah 12:31, 38, 40, 42-43
We celebrate our relationship with God because it fills us with Joy!
