Then you're not alone. It's easy to fall into the trap of having a to do list that's far too long, and trying to outrun time to fit everything in – only to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. That is exactly when you need to pause. When you need to make space for the 'right' and aligned action to percolate. So, breathe into your body, do a meditation, go for a walk, read a chapter of a non-work book. And see how it makes you feel. I also share how to choose to celebrate wins, however small, to reprogramme your sense of identity: from "I never finish it all" or "another day/week without having achieved anything really towards my goals", to "I've done well getting this/that done" and "Although I may not have achieved it all, what I've learned about myself is..." – with time, this type of looking for the positives and feeling grateful for all you do achieve, you set yourself up for success. One re-affirming thought at a time! I've mentioned Elle J Tull again, who is a graphic designer near Reading, UK, and she is a shining example of doing what works for her: in her case, networking only, no online presence. You truly have it all! You can feel confident, and certain, and determined whenever you need it. It's just that fear & worry is more easily accessible, and confidence, trust and certainty is just as available – you just have to choose it. (wow, a lot of 'justs' in this sentence #heyho) I'm sharing how you create your competitive edge by looking inside first and foremost. How you can choose to step into that future you, to create the future success you're after. But maybe that's not easily accessible for you – after all, it's difficult to imagine fully how you'd feel in a future event. That maybe you need to use some other tricks. Like using Amy Cuddy's famous Power Pose for 2 minutes – watch her Ted Talk here: https://www.ted.com/talks/amy_cuddy_your_body_language_shapes_who_you_are?language=en Or how you smile for two minutes, and you can't help to feel more positive. Or to think back of a successful challenge in the past, and carry that confidence & trust & certainty in your abilities into your future challenge. Or just realising that your fear comes up because you're growing. Growing into the New You. You can choose to lean into that growth pain like you would hold that long plank for a minute or so longer, although your body is already shaking and your mind is having a field day willing you to stop. What if true contentment and confidence comes from giving yourself the kind of love, energy & attention you're hoping from your environment. This was triggered by me bumping into a friend of mine, and me following my instinct to ask for a hug. Luckily she was glad to oblige. But what about hugging ourselves? I've been giving myself a daily hug as part of my morning routine, after yoga and breathwork and it feels so scrumptious. But it does more than that, it re-assures me that I am worthy of spending time, energy & attention on me. By giving it to myself. No one can take that away from me. And by doing that, I become more receptive to receive it from others, while also less needy to 'have to have it' from others. Have you tried this? Will you? Take some time to just be, or best even journal on the wins of this week, of the last few days and of today. Celebrating your achievements is more than just being grateful. Being grateful can just be for things that are, like your comfy bed, your roof over your head. This kind of celebration helps to uncover, and to internalise your personal wins. Today I'm reflecting on how to gradually reprogramme yourself, change your habits, and turn into the person who you know you can be, and create the life that you dream of living. Making that conscious decision to commit to the new programme, noticing how the old beliefs manifest in your body, how the old beliefs are enforced by certain thoughts, and how to change those beliefs by repeatedly re-setting to the new belief and bodily manifestation. With time, you can change anything. Like my posture and propensity to carry all the world's weight on my shoulders (quite literally, if you believed my body). 20. Why do you force yourself to do things you simply don't like? You KNOW! 25:15

I went climbing with my kids today. And I tried, and I did get to the top. And I also didn't like it enough to do it more. No, that's not entirely true. I internally argued with myself why I didn't like it, and nearly talked myself into needing to push through, try again, and 'make' myself like it. We then went bouldering, and in contrast I liked it WAY more! I enjoyed the challenge, and made sure I had plenty of opportunities to try the different boulders. We do that with fitness and hobbies. And also with business. Often we blindly follow the many 'experts' by doing all the many things we're being told we 'need' to do to run a successful business. I mention two people who are following their truths, and do the marketing activities that they enjoy: (1) Elle J Tull , Graphic Designer, who you can find hardly any online 'proof' of her work – she focuses on networking instead. (2) Suzanne Mountain , Business Mentor and Mindset Coach, who loves doing daily online posts & videos. And although she does networking, it's not what she focusses on. What do you force yourself to do, that you'd be happier to drop? Asking for what you want, or need can feel vulnerable. Too often we don't make the time to get clear on what we want or need. Nor do we ask for it nearly often enough. At today's Idea Party we invited everyone to state a dream, wish, idea or goal, and also what is stopping them from doing, being or having it. This is such a powerful exercise, to ask it, and with it declare it as something that you claim. And it's beautiful to see and hear the collective wisdom of 7 women to help that dream to come to live. Sharing what is in the way of your dreams (aka what's NOT working) means having to be vulnerable. It's also the main difference between a 'normal' networking event, where it's customary to wanting/needing to appear successful and in control. It also acts as an immediate bridge between people, and makes you feel more connected. Today's Idea Party was - again - amazing, and everyone expressed that they'd love to keep in contact and supporting each other. Today was my talk at the SHEnetWORKS in Henley, I explored what it means to BE THE BEST YOU. What would happen if you DECIDED that you would succeed, and have fun. That was what happened to me with today's talk: I decided to get out of the way of the message, and had fun delivering it. I decided to let my entertainer 'me' come out and play.
