A wise man named Drake once told me, “Know yourself, know your worth”. He was definitely up to something!! Did you know people of color are less likely to negotiate their job offers compared to their white counterparts? We need to change this!
In this week’s episode, I sat down with some good friends of mine to discuss negotiating. Jelani Vassall is an Engineering Program Manager for Trovata.io, a fintech startup in San Diego, California. He has 12 years of experience in the Department of Defense sector in contract execution and contract management.
Lisa Hauser is a recent college graduate from Winston-Salem State University who received her B.S. in Information Technology and a Minor in Computer Science. She currently works as a Systems Engineer for an aerospace and defense contractor in Florida.
Rob Ramey is a Systems Engineer at an aerospace and defense contractor in Texas. He has a M.S. in Systems Engineering from Cornell University, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Philosophy from North Carolina A&T.
