Good morning, New Yorkers! It's time for your favorite part of the day - the weather report brought to you by the National Weather Service in New York, New York.
Let's kick things off with today's forecast. You can expect plenty of sunshine with a high near 60 degrees. The northwest wind will be blowing at a comfortable 9 to 14 miles per hour. As we move into the evening, the skies will remain clear with a low around 44, and a light south wind cruising around at about 6 miles per hour.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, it's all about the sunshine again, with a high near 62. The light south wind will pick up speed, reaching 8 to 13 miles per hour in the morning. Tuesday night brings with it a 30 percent chance of showers after 3 am, so you might want to keep those umbrellas handy. The low will be around 49, with a south wind of 9 to 13 miles per hour.
Midweek brings some excitement as Wednesday could see showers and even thunderstorms after 1 pm. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 66. The south wind at 8 to 17 miles per hour will later shift to the west in the afternoon. Be prepared for a 50 percent chance of precipitation.
As we approach the weekend, Thursday will be sunny and pleasant with a high near 56. Followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 44. Friday brings more sunshine with a high near 57. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 46.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, perfect for any outdoor plans, with a high near 59. Saturday night, there's a 30 percent chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 53.
Wrapping up the week on Sunday, there's still a 30 percent chance of showers, but we'll see mostly cloudy skies and a high near 67.
