"Panipat" - This town of Haryana invokes lot of emotions in our country. The battlefield of Panipat has witnessed innumerable battles since the days of Mahabharata which was fought in Kurukshetra. In the medieval times, it has witnessed not one but three huge battles which decided the course of our sub-continent i.e. India. In this episode we take you through the third battle which was fought between Peshwa Sadashiv Rao Bhau of Maratha State and Ahmed Shah Abdali or Durrani of Afghanistan.
Sadoba or Sadashiv Rao Bhau will always remain 'Abhimanyu' for the Maratha State, who sacrificed himself after fighting the great battle alone and perished; fighting for the larger cause for establishing 'Hindu Paatshahi' in the sub-continent.
Further, I would like to give credit to Mr. Uday Kulkarni and his book 'Solstice at Panipat' which acts as an inspiration behind this episode.
