For this episode, we focus solely on the riddles scene from Peter Jackson's extended edition of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and chapter five. While the movie cuts back and forth between the dwarves and Bilbo, we stay with Bilbo and Gollum for the full episode. We discuss:

• The riddles you may have missed if you've only seen the movie
• Gollum's various interpretations over the years
• Bilbo's pity for Gollum and how it's expressed in the book vs the movie
