Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming in hot with the latest forecast for the Dallas area.
Buckle up for a foggy start to our Friday morning! We've got a Dense Fog Advisory in effect, so take it slow on those roads. The overnight hours will be mostly cloudy with temperatures dipping down to a cool 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
As we roll into Friday, expect those morning fog patches to clear out by 10 am. We're looking at a gradual shift from cloudy to sunny skies, with temperatures climbing to a delightful 69 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be playing a gentle game, starting light and then picking up to 5 to 10 miles per hour from the south-southwest.
The weekend's looking pretty sweet! Saturday brings partly sunny skies that'll transition to full sunshine, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Watch out for some afternoon winds that might gust up to 20 miles per hour.
Sunday and Monday are shaping up to be absolute gems - mostly sunny with temperatures hovering around 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect days to get outside and soak up some vitamin D!
A slight cool down arrives by Tuesday, with temperatures dropping to around 58 degrees Fahrenheit. As we slide into New Year's Day, expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-50s.
Pro tip: Keep an eye on those morning fog conditions and dress in layers as temperatures will be playing a bit of a yo-yo game this week.
