Good morning, Dallas! It's your weather buddy coming in hot (or should I say cold?) with today's frosty forecast.
Winter is definitely making its presence known in Texas with a Winter Storm Warning that's got everyone's attention. Buckle up for a chilly ride!
Overnight, we're looking at mostly cloudy skies with temperatures hovering around a frosty 33 degrees. Winds? Pretty much taking a nap right now.
Thursday is going to be a winter wonderland mix of snow showers and sleet. Expect temperatures to stick around 33 degrees with a gentle southeast breeze at about 5 miles per hour. We're talking a 100 percent chance of precipitation, with potentially 1 to 2 inches of snow and sleet accumulation. Perfect day to stay cozy indoors!
Thursday night continues the winter weather party with snow and sleet transitioning to rain later in the evening. Temperatures remain steady around 33 degrees.
Friday brings mostly cloudy skies with a high near 38 degrees and northwest winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour. Expect some occasional gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
The weekend looks more promising with sunny skies on Saturday, reaching a high of 44 degrees, and Sunday climbing to 47 degrees.
By Monday and Tuesday, we'll see mostly sunny conditions with temperatures inching up to near 48 and 49 degrees respectively.
