Good morning, Dallas-Fort Worth! It's time to get you all set for the week ahead with your local weather forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service.
Today expect plenty of sunshine with a high near 80 degrees. You might feel a bit of a breeze with a west wind of 5 to 15 miles per hour, gusting up to 20 miles per hour.
Tonight, things will be mostly clear with a low around 55. And moving on to Monday, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 5 pm. It will be partly sunny with a high near 83 and a gentle south southeast wind of 5 to 10 miles per hour.
As we head into Monday night, there's a higher chance of showers and thunderstorms, likely continuing through the night. The low will be around 64 with a southeast wind of 5 to 15 miles per hour, gusting as high as 20 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Tuesday brings more showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm with heavy rainfall at times. High temperatures near 75 with an easterly wind starting at 5 to 10 miles per hour and increasing to 15 to 20 miles per hour later in the day, gusting up to 30 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation stands at 100 percent.
Tuesday night could also see showers and thunderstorms lingering into the evening and overnight as temperatures drop to around 59. Winds will shift from east-southeast to north after midnight, blowing at 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 25 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation remains high at 90 percent.
Midweek, Wednesday is forecasted to have showers and maybe a thunderstorm before 2 pm, then a chance of rain later in the day. It'll be mostly cloudy with a high near 71 degrees. The wind will pick up from the north-northwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour, gusting up to 30 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Wednesday night calls for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 am, followed by partly cloudy skies and a low around 55 degrees. Northwest winds will blow at 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour.
Heading towards the end of the week, Thursday looks sunny with a high near 74. A 20 percent chance of morning showers and thunderstorms is expected, so keep your eyes on the sky.
Thursday night will be mostly clear with a low around 52. Friday is looking sunny again with a high near 78, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 55.
And as we approach the weekend, Saturday brings mostly sunny skies with a high near 78 degrees.
