On the podcast today Sam and Toby sit down with former darts BDO World Champion Scott Mitchell. Scott won at Lakeside in 2015 and also reached the semi's in 2020 as well as 14 other tournament wins. We sit down to discuss how Scotty dog got into darts, including his early darting memories and his first few tournaments. We then take a look at his breakthrough in 2014 and the big win for the worlds against Martin 'Wolfie' Adams in 2015, the psychology behind that, dealing with the fame from that and where his career has taken him since. We also discuss the BDO's decision to move to the 02 from Lakeside for the World Championship as well as Scott quitting the BDO. We then discuss how he manages darts with farming especially in lockdown with the home door before discussing his recent outing at the PDC Summer Series.
