Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen testified before the UK Parliament on Monday to discuss how Facebook allowed misinformation to be shared in the days leading up to the 2020 election and how such misinformation may have helped spark the January 6th insurrection as well as fanned flames of sectarianism around the world.
The first Trump administration witness, former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark, is expected to testify on Friday before the Jan 6. select committee. Clark is considered to be a central player in Trump’s effort to overturn election results and Clark was directly in contact with Trump in the days leading up to the insurrection.
