Real estate notes are “promissory notes secured by a specified mortgage loan. Mortgage notes are a written promise to repay a specified sum of money plus interest at a specified rate and length of time” but do you know what goes on with these real estate notes behind the scenes? Surprising as it may be, these notes can be actively traded.
This is a topic I feel is generally undercovered yet has an oversized impact. Please join me as I jump down the rabbit hole as I discuss the pros and cons of real estate notes and share my own story of discovery.
