This week, what we're throwing down on the Table is a great and in-depth discussion and interview with Destiny Lugardo from PhilliesNation.com about Major League Baseball's lockout, how it will affect the offseason, and the Phillies offseason as well. We got into it this week with Destiny!
But first, we discussed what we learned from the Eagles quarterback position this past week - an efficient passer in Gardner Minshew, and how that reflects on starting quarterback Jalen Hurts. (approx. 7:45)
We then talked about how this Sixers team is keeping themselves afloat with so much uncertainty moving forward. Will we see Ben Simmons traded sooner rather than later? December 15th is an important date. (approx. 16:30)
From there, we brought our friend of the pod, Kelly Hinkle, on for a discussion about the firing of Alain Vigneault and where the team will be heading from here. (approx. 28:30)
We also talked to Josh Tremble from the Reading Hot Stovers about their upcoming banquet featuring Andre Dawson, Jamie Moyer and Ricky Bottalico. (approx. 44:00)
What we threw down on the Table was a fantastic discussion with Destiny Lugardo from Phillies Nation about where MLB and the players union are with this owner-imposed lockout. What deals need to be struck, and will we see professional baseball being played next year?
