Welcome to The Outlet, your interview podcast for Southland. In this Podcast host Brent Harbour talks to Harri Pickett. Harri is a year 13 pupil at Southland Girls’ High School and has been accepted into the London International Youth Science Forum from July 26 to August 9. The trip includes day visits to Cambridge and Oxford laboratories and research centres, as well as attending specialist lectures from leading scientists alongside 500 international pupils. Harri achieved international success last year after friends, family and sponsors got behind her to send her to Cambridge University’s Immerse Education Summer Programme to study medicine. They chat about last years experience, what Harri is looking forward to this year and how fundraising is going.
