Critics don’t like it, it didn’t get good marketing, and it hasn’t made a boatload of money. So now despite all that the question before us, is ‘The Giver’ a good film? Is it worth your time and consideration? Joe and TJ say yes. The film is worth seeing and makes for great discussion. Frankly, Joe and TJ can’t understand why the critics are rating it so poorly. The film is not without its flaws, but what film doesn’t have a few flaws? Also up for discussion, ‘Machete Kills’ Writer will pen the upcoming Michael Bay produced film ‘Cosmic Motors’ — that sounds like a whole lot of stupid, an ‘Underworld’ reboot is on the way to us, ‘Steve Carell’ will headline an ACME focused live action ‘Looney Tunes’ film, TJ has friends who have not seen ‘Star Wars’, Chloe Moretz blames her film failures on piracy (because: SCAPEGOAT!), and ‘Full House’ is returning to TV.

• ‘Machete Kills’ Writer…Pen Michael Bay-Produced ‘Cosmic Motors’

  Warner Bros. has set Machete Kills screenwriter Kyle Ward on their upcoming Michael Bay-produced adaptation of concept artist Daniel Simon’s book Cosmic Motors.

• ‘Underworld’ Reboot on the Way

  Each successive Spider-Man movie has earned less at the box office than the previous entry, calling into question the theory that audiences want more of the same. Despite this, THR reports that Lakeshore Entertainment has decided to go down a similar path and reboot the “Underworld” series.

• Steve Carell to Star in ACME Focused, Live Action Looney Tunes Film

  Originally pitched by Kevin and Dan Hageman, the ACME film will focus on the behind-the-scenes working of the imaginary company, famous for its elaborate trap products that Wile E. Coyote repeatedly makes use of to limited success.

• Chloe Moretz Blames Piracy for ‘Kick-Ass’ Franchise Failure

  “Kick-Ass 2 was one of the number one pirated movies of the year, but that doesn’t help us because we need box office figures. We need to prove to the distributors that we can make money from a third and a fourth movie - but because it didn’t do so well, we can’t make another one. “If you want more than one movie, everyone has to go and see movies at the cinema. It’s all about the numbers in the theatre.”

• ‘Full House’ Returning to TV?

  Warner Bros. television is considering a possible reboot of Full House, the popular ABC television sitcom which ran 1987 to 1995. The reboot would bring the Tanner family back to television with new episodes which would even include some of the original cast.
