Daniel "Danny" Mazur considers himself a born-again creative. This episode of the podcast takes us on an emotional journey from the time he became an accidental poet, his year of mania, and the first iteration of what we see today as Soul Stories ( https://www.soulstoriesdenver.com/). In his own words: "My name is Danny Mazur and I hail from the great state of O-HI-O. In 2013 I moved to Denver to start working in under resourced schools. Shortly after, my mom overdosed (and survived) and my close friend started to suffer from a severe mental health disease. This challenging period of my life inspired me to start Soul Stories, a non-profit dedicated to creating connection through dialogue. We host The Soul Stories Podcast and many different experiential storytelling events throughout the Denver area that tackle challenging topics such as gentrification, sexual consent, intimacy, and many more. Check out this episode to learn more about my creative journey with Soul Stories." Danny and I talk about: Creating from pain The people you attract with your creativity The unique exercise that helped solidify his calling. The support he's had on his journey, How he handles negative feedback.Discipline, rest, and self-care as a creative.
