Some of what we share about today includes: ~Animism: What is it, how does it relate to me and the world around?Being taught to see the non human beings around us as “it or resources.” ~Being socialized out of ourselves in our childhoods. ~Computers and screens having crystals in them and wouldn't function without that. ~How energy and the subtle body relates to animacy. ~The difference between anthropomorphism and animism ~The English language doesn't have the words to express some of our experiences. ~Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer ~Being in relationship with the non human beings of the world around us. ~Witnessing the life-death-life cycle in the world around us ~Kate shares about how she didn't have the language for some of what she was experiencing as she was going through it and how being given and finding the language has changed things. ~Deeper understandings of Yoga: The 8 limbs of yoga ~ 20% of our human experience being tangible and 80% living in the intangible ~Feeling unsafe in our subtle body, & the ways the systems that we have inherited create this unsafety & disconnect. ~Connecting with & learning from archetypes like the Hag ~“Grief is the Lover of Love” Kate Powell ~Death phobia ~Kate discovering that she carries the same gene as her dad for a degenerative eye disease that may or may not manifest & her experience of grief within that. ~The ways grief moves us forward and anchors us to our internal compass.
