Most of us know Slenderman as a fictional, supernatural character that originated from an internet meme sometime back in 2009. He's tall, features a completely blank face and is seen sporting a crisp black suit. His backstory as a malevolent entity who stalks and abducts children came from a photoshop contest, but the inspiration for this internet cryptid goes back hundreds if not potentially thousands of years....Or does it?
