Deployment to reach net zero will require a lot of private capital. As the wind and solar industries developed, pioneers like John Eber have played a key role in helping developers leverage future tax credits to access much-needed construction capital. Correction: John Eber inadvertently said the financing deal for the Sweetwater wind farm in Texas was closed in June 2001, when in fact the correct year and what Mr. Eber meant to say was 2002.
