Entrepreneur Aakash Patel founded Elevate, Inc., a strategic business consulting firm providing public relations, community relations, targeted networking and social media.
A Florida State University graduate, master networker and community leader, before Elevate, Inc.’s launch in 2012, Patel was an Editorial Assistant at the Tampa Bay Times Tallahassee Bureau, the Public Relations Coordinator for the Westin Tampa Bay hotel and Aqua restaurant, and the founding Business Development Director for Chamber.com. With robust experiences, Aakash stays focused on leadership, community, military, life-long learning, and connecting.
Current leadership roles include: Chairman of The Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, Centre Club Tampa Philanthropy Committee Chair, Gasparilla Film Festival, TBBJ Leadership Trust, Superbowl LV Host Committee (2021), Visit Tampa Bay Advisory Board, the Tampa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, The Tampa Club Board, Leadership Tampa Bay Secretary. Additionally, he is an Op Ed writer in the Tampa Bay Times and was featured in Forbes magazine as a rising millennial entrepreneur.
Patel is the 2018 Hindu-American Foundation’s Leader of the Year and the 2019 Indo-US Chamber Businessman of the Year. Aakash formerly served the 6th Air Mobility Wing, Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, and College Football Championship Host Committee. Patel ran a community-focused, professional race for the Hillsborough County Commissioner District 7 seat in 2018.
A Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award recipient, Aakash completed the National Security Forum at the prestigious Air Force War College, Tampa Bay Chamber Leadership Tampa, FBI Citizen's Academy, Tampa Police Citizen's Academy, Mayor Bob Buckhorn’s Neighborhood University, Tampa Bay Public Leadership Institute, James Madison Institute (JMI) Regional Fellows Program, Society of International Business Fellows (SIBF) Leadership Academy, Leadership Tampa Bay, Tampa Connection, College Leadership Florida, Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) Citizen’s Academy , and American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Leadership Network. His firm has been recognized as a South Tampa Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year semi-finalist in 2017 and 2019.
