Tim opens up the podcast commenting on the challenge and reward of teaching his daughter Zoe about the difference between HOW we think and WHAT we think.
Angela Patton CEO of Girls for a Change (https://girlsforachange.org/) prepares Black girls for the world and the world for Black girls. She is married and the mom of a son and daughter.
She opens by discussing how she and her husband work together to raise their children and the original inspiration for her part of the organization. She touches on how her father helped shape her as a leader.
And on the pod she talks earnestly about her growth curve as a leader and poignant experiences where she woke up and REALLY listened to what was going on.
Finally, she talks about her organization’s Father Daughter Dance devoted to dads who are incarcerated and their daughters which was an idea hatched by the girls who were part of the group.
Here is Angela’s Ted Talk on the subject viewed one million times: https://www.ted.com/talks/angela_patton_a_father_daughter_dance_in_prison?language=en
