Our conversation with Nadia Bevan continues our series profiling research about women's football. Angela Christian-Wilkes and Nadia delve into Nadia's ethnographic research on developing a women's football team at a club in Melbourne. We discuss the structures that include and exclude within community sport, building inclusive practices, and the messiness of insider research.

Nadia is an early career researcher specialising in the barriers and enablers of access to sport for a range of groups, including women, girls, youth and the LGBTQIA+ community. She completed a PhD in Education at Monash University, looking at weight stigma as a barrier to physical activity.

The Short Corner is a The Far Post's home for all things interesting, different and fun that don't fit under our usual programming of women's football analysis and news.
