Karen Smidt has been running for 40+ years and has raced every distance from the 800m to 100 miles. She is a high school Teacher-Librarian as well as the Head High School Cross Country and Track Coach. She has race Western States, Leadville, and Run Rabbit Run just to name a few. She has a new personal quest of running a 50-mile race in all 50 states while in her 50's.
