On the Wednesday edition of The Best Of The Doug Gottlieb Show, Doug thinks the Seahawks initial trade for Jamal Adams followed by a large contract extension was a desperate move then, and has been a disaster since as Adams is now out for the season with a torn labrum. The lesson in that deal for Seattle is to not shop while you are hungry.

Doug welcomes the new head coach of the USC Trojans Lincoln Riley on the show. Doug and Coach talk about Riley's roots and the challenges that lie ahead for this turnaround and Southern Cal.

On his weekly radio hit, Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones pointed out that the route running by his team's receivers has been an issue for the offense up to now. Doug thinks that Jones is simply taking up for his quarterback Dak Prescott.
