You join us again to hear Dr Nicky Small chatting with retired forester Syd House. Syd spent 35 years with the forestry commission and was especially inspired by a local writer, Thomas Hunter and his book which chronicled all the great Perthshire estates, the tree planting and specimen trees. We re-join Syd and Nicky in the garden as they discuss planting in the Carse of Gowrie.
Nicky is currently searching for people who have worked in forestry, or in woodland management or on estates for a Forest Memories project- we hope to hear from people if they have any stories or experiences of working in the sector – we would like to interview people and hear their stories, so please get in touch.
