Nava Durga refers to nine forms of the goddess Durga, who is the central deity of the Hindu festival of Navratri. In Hinduism, Durga is the ultimate reality, and these forms of hers are the manifestations of her various moods. These nine forms are known as Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. These forms depict the various aspects of Durga. They also signify various phases of a woman's life - the maiden, the mother, and the aged woman. These forms of Durga are personifications of the different aspects of a woman's life, her struggles, and her power.
