I did a BA Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology and Sociology, at the then Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg) and followed that up with an Honours in Sociology, specialising in Family Sociology, Group Dynamics and Industrial Sociology. I did my counselling qualification through UNISA. My special interests are addiction and addictive behaviour in all its forms and manifestations (from alcohol and drugs to food, sex, love and whatever form addiction can take), self-esteem realisation, past and present trauma, anger management, stress and anxiety. I have a special affinity for twelve step coaching and support to loved ones of addicts.
