In this episode I wanted to dive into a topic that often gets overlooked or misrepresented: Why is sex so important in a relationship? For me, sex isn’t just about the physical connection—it’s a vital part of personal and relational growth. It’s through sexual expression that we tap into vulnerability, creativity, and intimacy with both ourselves and our partners.

One of the key things I talk about is how sexual satisfaction can look different for everyone, and it’s completely normal for it to ebb and flow over time. The idea that everything should always be perfect in the bedroom is a myth. What’s really important is having open, honest conversations about sex, and these talks shouldn’t just happen in moments of frustration or intimacy. That’s where I bring in the idea of the cringe cafe—a space where couples can talk openly about their desires, frustrations, and boundaries, without judgment or awkwardness. By normalising these conversations, we remove the stigma and make it easier to navigate changes or dissatisfaction before they become bigger issues.

I also highlight something that’s close to my heart: the idea of sexual energy as a creative force. When we harness our sexual energy, it goes beyond just the act of sex—it can fuel our creativity, our work, and even our sense of self. That’s why it’s so important to honour and channel this energy in a way that feels authentic to us.

Consent, safety, and authenticity are at the core of everything I discuss in this episode. True satisfaction comes from being able to express your desires openly, knowing that you and your partner are on the same page. It’s not about conforming to societal expectations or performing for someone else’s idea of what a relationship “should” look like. It’s about building a space where both people can express themselves fully and grow together.

Let’s normalise the uncomfortable conversations and embrace the ways we can grow through intimacy.
