Jason Mack is a podcaster and music promoter based in Melbourne. His podcast ‘What We Did On The Weekend’ with Mathew Burgess has grown in the last few years to be one of the focal points of the Australian heavy music scene. In 2021 after some heavy drinking during lockdown and a scary moment k-holing live on Twitch, he decided to cut out alcohol for good. We sat down in his apartment in Brunswick to talk about that decision, as well as his life growing up in Frankston, and leaving it all behind to move to Melbourne at 30. This was one of my favourite conversations so far, even just for the goss about The Tote. Enjoy!
