My guest is Elaine is a Spiritual Life Coach, Imperfection Alchemist, and author whose superpower is helping humans, primarily women, alchemize their perceived imperfections and turn them into strengths. Her signature program, The Art of Self-Approval™ is a pathway to move from the chains of perfectionism and people-pleasing to self-discovery and empowerment.
Elaine takes the idea of perfectionism and turns it on its head - Rather than striving for perfectionism, she helps her clients to embrace and love themselves with all their imperfections. In fact, she sees our imperfections as our superpower - we just don't know it or how to use it "out of the box".
We also talked about the idea of leaning into, not only our imperfections, but also our places of discomfort. That's where the learning happens.
Elaine believes that women in particular are raised to shun their imperfections and are instead taught to people-please. We talked about the fine line between serving and people-pleasing, and when and how to introduce boundaries in between.
