There are many reasons why spring is the best time for you to sell your home. Here are five of them.

If you’ve been on the fence about getting into the real estate market, today I want to share five different reasons why you should choose to sell your home this spring:
1. Demand is strong. The latest buyer traffic report from the National Association of Realtors shows that buyer demand remains strong throughout the country. Buyers are ready, willing, and able to purchase, and they’re in the market right now. Take advantage of this buyer activity this spring.
2. Less competition. Housing inventory is still under the six-month supply that is needed for a normal housing market. This means that in the majority of our area, there are not enough homes for sale to satisfy the buyers on the market. It won’t remain that way for long. The choices buyers have will continue to increase in the coming months. Don’t wait until this other inventory comes on the market before you decide to list your home.
3. Quicker process. Today’s competitive environment has forced buyers to do all they can to make themselves stand out from the crowd, including getting a pre-approval for their mortgage financing. This makes the selling process quicker when buyers know exactly what they can afford when home shopping.

If you’re planning to sell a starter or trade-up home, you’ll be able to sell quickly while also having an advantage when buying a premium home to call your own.
5. It’s time to move on. Look at the reason you decided to sell in the first place and determine whether it’s worth waiting. Is money more important than your health, being with family, or having the freedom to live your life the way you should? Only you know the answers to these questions. You have control of the situation by putting your home on the market.
