Esta obra, una maravilla de Wenders, emerge sin embargo en una zona ajena a cualquier dicotomía. Es la apertura hacia las zonas grises. Un dispositivo filosófico de preguntas que, en simultaneidad, apelan a lo divino y a lo humano. Es la pregunta por el ser, por la escandalosa ambigüedad de su condición existencial y por el amor como eje de transformación total en la incertidumbre.
