We continue our conversation with Singaporean historian, journalist and activist PJ Thum who was accused of being a traitor after he uncovered and presented documents revealing the government had unfairly arrested and detained people without trial in order to maintain control of the national narrative. We discuss the interrogation, the need for freedom of information and expression, his methods for spotting and combating fake news, and how we can understand the ways historical trends have shaped all our lives.
