Some of the typical sexual expectations that heterosexual, or cis-gendered people have had under this archaic construct (like transactional sex; sex as a reward; the female (or perceived submissive person) is there for the man's (or perceived dominant person's ) pleasure and ownership; the requirement to change one's name; and gender roles associated with the household division of labor).
